In 2009, R&T delivered a major upgrade to Syria’s pipeline inspection infrastructure by constructing skid-mounted launcher and receiver stations for 26-inch pipelines at two strategic locations: Banias and Al-Loweibde. These stations were engineered to support multiple inline inspection types—including cleaning, geometric, and intelligent pigs—enabling comprehensive inline inspection and maintenance. The project strengthened SCOT’s capacity for long-distance pipeline monitoring and integrity management.
