In 1998, R&T executed a major modernization project at Banias Terminal by replacing two crude oil shipping pumps that formed the backbone of the export system.
R&T performed a critical repair operation on the 1600-meter white products pipeline without service interruption, demonstrating the company’s capability to handle high-risk maintenance work. The team used glass fiber reinforced epoxy to restore pipeline integrity across multiple damaged sections, ensuring the safe and continuous transport of fuel along one of Syria’s vital energy routes.
In 2004, R&T performed an internal ultrasonic inspection of the offshore loading pipelines. The project required specialized inspection techniques both onshore and offshore to assess the condition of the pipelines. Delivered as a turn-key operation, the work provided SCOT with critical diagnostic data on pipeline integrity, enabling informed maintenance decisions and ensuring the safe continuity […]
In 2004, R&T delivered a comprehensive greenfield project for Homs Refinery Company, which included the design and construction of a complete base oil loading and unloading system. The project encompassed a full seabed survey, sea pipeline laying, construction of a receiving station, installation of four large base-oil storage tanks, and the development of a pumping […]
R&T executed the supply, installation, and commissioning of new 26-inch gate between location 494-21 at Banias terminal on turn key and check valves at Banias Terminal, replacing aging units. The project involved the precise removal of existing components, installation of upgraded valve systems, and operational testing to restore full functionality. The improved infrastructure enhanced operational […]
In 2009, R&T delivered a major upgrade to Syria’s pipeline inspection infrastructure by constructing skid-mounted launcher and receiver stations for 26-inch pipelines at two strategic locations: Banias and Al-Loweibde (Homs). The stations were engineered to support multiple inline inspection types (cleaning, geometric, and intelligent pigs), enabling comprehensive inline inspection and long-term integrity management.
R&T participated in the execution of a major maintenance service contract for Al-Furat Petroleum Company. The assignment included comprehensive operational support services, equipment servicing, and field maintenance activities. The project strengthened asset reliability across key petroleum fields and reinforced R&T’s long-standing reputation in Syria’s upstream operations.
In 2010, R&T replaced the live steam branches at Banias Refinery. The work included supplying all necessary equipment, performing mechanical and piping installation, and commissioning the upgraded system. By modernizing critical steam distribution components, the project improved thermal efficiency and ensured safe, stable operation across the refinery’s power generation units.
R&T completed the repair of corroded points along the 24-inch crude oil pipeline, executing the work without stopping the pumping process. This required precise planning and safe on-line intervention to restore pipeline integrity. The successful completion reduced operational risk and ensured continuous crude oil flow along this vital supply route. Work Location: 554 at tanks […]
R&T constructed a 60 km gas pipeline. The project included full onshore pipeline construction, mechanical installation, and civil works. The new line expanded regional gas transport capacity and strengthened cross-border energy infrastructure.
